February 21–27, 2021 is Engineers Week. Founded by the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE) seventy years ago, EWeek is dedicated to ensuring a diverse and well-educated future engineering workforce by increasing understanding of and interest in engineering and technology careers.
On Thursday, February 25, EWeek will celebrate Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day (Girl Day), which is a worldwide campaign to engage girls in engineering and educate girls about how engineers change our world.
"Remember along the way, engineering is a great adventure," said 2012 Technologist of the Year, Sonya Sepahban, retired senior vice president, General Dynamics Land Systems.
Since 1996, awards presented at the Women of Color STEM Conference have honored engineers who demonstrate leadership in their workplaces and communities, and commitment to recruiting and retaining minorities in the nation's scientific and technical enterprises.
