Growing up as a "super curious kid" in Jackson, Mississippi, Warn Wilson Jr's sense of discovery won him a place in a place in an art school. Wilson Jr. went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Mississippi State University, and a research and development internship led to his current position as a quality engineer in the manufacturing industry.
Wilson Jr. is a professional engineer, author, and visual artist. In this episode of High-Tech Sunday, he shares his thoughts on the state of jobs in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), financial literacy, investment products, and entrepreneurship.
Wilson Jr. has written and illustrated a children's book called Brown Money, which introduces young people to STEM pathways, financial literacy, and investing for your future. Over the past year, he has performed book readings at schools across Atlanta and Memphis. Currently, he is working on the follow-up to Brown Money, which he hopes will influence the next generation of thinkers, creators, and engineers.
High-Tech Sunday's weekly program is produced by and for Career Communications Group's community of alumni and professionals in STEM fields, thought leaders, and students, to bring a concentrated discussion around technological advancements and achievements based on universal moral principles.
