Yogita Krishnamurthy won a Special Recognition Award at the 2018 Women of Color STEM Conference.

Yogita is director for data platform technology at Amrock, one of the largest companies offering title insurance, valuations, and closing services.

Yogita majored in engineering, but she did not expect a career in information technology (IT). After joining Quicken Loans/Amrock, she was offered an opportunity in the field of data analytics.

She was able to learn quickly and grew as a developer within the business intelligence team. In 2010 Amrock started its own business intelligence team.

Yogita was asked to join as the first data warehouse engineer, a role that required more specialized technical knowledge. She rose to the occasion and helped build a platform that is scalable and the foundation of the advanced analytics and data science work the company does today.

Her will and determination to excel in a new field and career brought about well-earned achievements.
