Andrea Cruz is a program manager for technical operations at Plaid, a California-based fintech service.
Plaid enables people to securely connect their bank accounts to various apps.
Recently Andrea launched Product Inclusion Principles, a foundational piece to Plaid's evolving product inclusion program, which is dedicated to weaving inclusive practices into how the company builds.
She will soon be joining Plaid's Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging team as its inaugural member.
Earlier in her career, Andrea worked in the education and non-profit sector for organizations that serve underrepresented communities.
Andrea was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. She earned a bachelor's degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and an MPA from Kaplan University.
She is currently based in Oakland, CA where she spends her free time hiking trails and tasting treats from local restaurants.
