Shenae Simmons is a technical support engineer at Plaid.
Her first company-wide hackathon at Plaid created and subsequently launched FinRise, a Plaid-sponsored program that supports early-stage founders with resources to launch their businesses.
Shenae was an ambassador for Ladies Get Paid, an organization that offers access to education, resources, and a community that helps empower women, whether it’s their career or their bank account.
She committed to a career change after over 10 years of working as a line cook or a restaurant manager. Then, she completed a fellowship in web development from Per Scholas and graduated from General Assembly’s software engineering immersive program in 2019.
