Candice M. Smith, PMP, is director of engineering people strategy at The Boeing Company.
She is responsible for driving strategy to ensure Boeing engineers have a world-class experience as they advance through their career lifecycle.
Candice has also developed partnerships in St. Louis, Dallas, and Chicago aimed at helping local children pursue meaningful careers in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).
She currently serves as board chair of Project SYNCERE, which provides opportunities for students who have been traditionally under-represented in STEM.
Candice’s work has been honored with numerous awards.
In 2017, she was selected as an Eisenhower Fellow to study the intersection between youth and innovation in Kenya and Singapore.
She has also received the Boeing St. Louis Diversity Influence Award, St. Louis American Foundation Young Leaders Award, Women of Color in Technology Rising Star Award, Modern Day Technology Leader Award, and Chicago-based Walker’s Legacy Power Award.
During the 2021 Women of Color (WOC) STEM Conference, Candice will receive her second WOC award: the Corporate Responsibility Award.
