Please join us as we sit down with Master Sergeant (MSgt) Bonnie Rushing for a conversation on "Changing the Narrative: Women in the Military" for the 41st episode of High-Tech Sunday.
Master Sergeant (MSgt) Bonnie Rushing is the finalist for the 2021 Women of Color STEM Pioneer Award.
She is a newly selected first-ever full-time enlisted faculty at the Air Force Academy, teaching in the Military & Strategic Studies department. Bonnie is a Technical Sergeant and does extensive work in the Air Force and National Security Agency. She aspires to become a college professor.
Bonnie has led charity events with her 49-member flight. She and other Airmen have dedicated over 200 hours to the San Antonio food drive, diaper bank collection, representing diverse employee resource groups at the National Security Agency, organizing traditional events for Air Force members and their families, and supporting local community clean-up efforts.
Bonnie, 35, is a mother of 2, living with her family in San Antonio, Texas. She and her husband are both ballroom dancers and have competed at a professional level several times. Bonnie’s family has helped organize four ballroom charity events, donating over one million dollars to national-level charities.
Bonnie aspires to become a college professor in the future so that she can continue to mentor the next generation of American stars.
Career Communications Group (CCG) is celebrating the first anniversary of their podcast, "High-Tech Sunday." The podcast features 41 episodes with topics such as choosing a career in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields, inspiration, mentoring professional and personal development, and more. In its inaugural year, "High-Tech Sunday" attracted hundreds of CCG alumni, BEYA winners, and WOC STEM Award winners and continues to expand its reach.
High-Tech Sunday's weekly program is produced by and for CCG’s community of alumni and professionals in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields, thought leaders, and aspiring students, to bring a concentrated discussion around technological advancements and achievements based on universal moral principles.
