Lakshana Mohee earned a doctorate in biomedical engineering from the University of Cambridge in England.

Currently, she is an education development manager at Ansys Granta, where she implements research strategies through computer-aided tools. Additionally, she works as a bioengineering consultant for the team with a focus on medical devices.

Outside the office, Lakshana has pushed to establish programs for work-study students so they could perform approved scientific projects through after-school tutoring in the lab.

Lakshana is a nominee for the 2021 Education Leadership-Corporate Promotion of Education Award.

She is being recognized for her passion for the promotion of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education and for women in technology.
