Yazmin Seda-Sanabria is a civilian employee of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). She is currently chief of the Data Analysis and Information Systems Branch within the USACE’s Institute for Water Resources Navigation and Civil Works Decision Support Center.
There, she directs scientists and professional staff overseeing all aspects of human capital management and workforce development while achieving efficient use of resources across multiple centers and programs.
Over the last three decades, Yazmin has received numerous awards, including the Dams Sector Government and Sector Coordinating Council Achievement Award, and many more.
She is committed to the advancement of Hispanic engineers in the workforce while also promoting opportunities in science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM) careers K through 12.
A native of Mayagüez, Puerto Rico, she earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez (UPR-M) in 1991. Yazmin also earned a master's degree in civil engineering from UPR-M. Subsequently, she earned a master's in engineering mechanics from Mississippi State University.
