U.S. Air Force Col. Regina Goff received a Professional Achievement in Government Award at the 18th annual Women of Color Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) Conference, which took place Oct. 17-19, 2013, at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas.
The Professional Achievement-Government award is presented to a highly experienced, mid-career professional who has made significant achievements in industry or government. The specific degree earned is less relevant than the significance of the work and the nominee's achievements as a role model and leader for other minorities in the field.
Goff built a successful career with the U.S. Air Force. In 2013, she was chief of the financial analysis division at Headquarters Air Force Materiel Command. She led a 40-person division and had oversight of 400 budget professionals in the financial planning and fiscal execution of a $73 billion, multi-year budget.
