General Motors (GM) recognized several outstanding women in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) careers as Technology All-Stars and Rising Stars at the 2021 Women of Color STEM Conference.
The 14 award winners are leading GM into an all-electric future and will continue GM’s legacy as tech leaders of tomorrow, the company said.
"As we continue to build a more inclusive culture at GM, we are proud that these future leaders will be at the helm to ensure that all areas of our workforce and business are supportive of a world-class inclusive, equitable, and diverse organization," the press release said.
The GM All-Stars are staff researcher, Arianna Morales, Ph.D., VeRonica Mitchell, brand integration and business planning manager; Priya Patnaik, senior application development engineer, and Remunda W. Domineck, enterprise security architect.
GM Rising Stars include Bruque Argaw, design release engineer; Amy Medina, innovation engineer; Jeannine Jones, program ergonomist;
Marya Martinez-Diaz, design release engineer; TaiJuane Robinson, cabin comfort design release engineer; Carla Puig, integration design engineer; Brianna Owens-Boatwright, plant planner; Ursula Stanbrough, vehicle systems engineer; Cheryl Holifield, senior Scrum master; and Kanthi Priya Nandimandalam, software development manager.
