2019 Technologist of the Year, Pamela McCauley, Ph.D., was inducted into the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE) College of Fellows Class of 2021. Dr. McCauley was nominated, reviewed, and elected by peers and members of the College of Fellows for outstanding contributions to biomechanics and ergonomics and for exceptional leadership and advocacy for broader access to STEM education.
The College of Fellows is comprised of the top two percent of medical and biological engineers in the country. The most accomplished and distinguished engineering and medical school chairs, research directors, professors, innovators, and successful entrepreneurs comprise the College of Fellows.
Donna Bell, Ph.D., the 2018 Technologist of the Year, was named as a Grand Prize Winner by the SAE, a global association of engineers and related technical experts in the aerospace, automotive, and commercial vehicle industries. Dr. Bell supports many SAE Foundation programs, including A World In Motion® and the Collegiate Design Series.
The 2017 Technologist of the Year, Denise Gray, president of LG Energy Solution Michigan Inc. Tech Center, the North American subsidiary of LG Chem (LGC), Korea, was a keynote speaker at the virtual 2021 ARPA-E Energy Innovation Summit. The Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E) gathers thousands of experts from government, academia, and industry to advance cutting-edge energy technologies. 2015 Technologist of the Year, Delia Grenville, is the inventor of five digital content technologies. The majority of her patents are in technologies for consumers to filter content streaming to their televisions via the Internet.
