General Motors (GM) recognized several outstanding women in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) careers at the 2021 Women of Color STEM Conference.
The Technology All-Star and Rising Star award winners are helping to lead GM into an all-electric future and continue GM’s legacy as tech leaders of tomorrow, the company said in a statement.
"As we continue to build a more inclusive culture at GM, we are proud that these future leaders will be at the helm to ensure that all areas of our workforce and business are supportive of a world-class inclusive, equitable, and diverse organization," the press release said.
The GM All-Stars were staff researcher Arianna Morales, Ph.D.; VeRonica Mitchell, brand integration and business planning manager; Priya Patnaik, senior application development engineer; and Remunda W. Domineck, enterprise security architect.
GM Rising Stars included Bruque Argaw, design release engineer; Amy Medina, innovation engineer; Jeannine Jones, program ergonomist; Marya Martinez-Diaz, design release engineer; TaiJuane Robinson, cabin comfort design release engineer; Carla Puig, integration design engineer; Brianna Owens-Boatwright, plant planner; Ursula Stanbrough, vehicle systems engineer; Cheryl Holifield, senior Scrum master; and Kanthi Priya Nandimandalam, software development manager.
