Emberle L. Pearson is the workforce development supervisor at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division in Lakehurst, New Jersey. A licensed professional engineer with a master's degree in mechanical engineering from North Carolina State University, Emberle also earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Villanova University.
Emberle is a member of the Naval Air Systems Command Leadership Development Team, and a lead on the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst Diversity Action Roundtable Team and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) outreach programs.
Her responsibilities include overseeing a development program for engineering, logistics, and information technology specialists, while also providing policy and guidance for recruiting, developing, and retaining entry-level acquisition workers.
Emberle also emphasizes the importance of continuous learning and believes that professional development should extend beyond the first few years of joining an organization.
She is passionate about mentoring over 50 entry-level acquisition employees, providing them with the necessary tools and training to excel at their work.
Emberle has implemented command initiatives in the organization, including a workshop introduced by Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR). This initiative has been expanded to cover all entry-level employees in the command.
In addition, Emberle is also a co-site lead on the African American Pipelines Action Team and a recruiter for the division.
To increase diversity of thought in the workforce, she created a video highlighting the important and exciting work performed at the division that was shared with Historically Black Colleges and Universities across the United States, leading to an increase in diverse candidates interested in job opportunities.
