Yvonne Gonzalez joined The Boeing Company in 2015 as a structural analysis engineer. She has worked on the DARPA/Boeing Experimental Space Plan program and the NASA/Boeing Commercial Crew program (CST-100).

In addition to her work, Yvonne has also spent time volunteering at various events such as the Girls Scout Troop Day at a local middle school, the "Noche de Ciencias" or Family Science Nights organized by SHPE, and Family Day-STEM Activities.

Yvonne holds three degrees from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez: a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, a master's degree in structural engineering, and a Ph.D. in structural engineering.

Since 2018, she has been an adjunct professor at Saint Louis University, where she provides orientation to students to consider options in the aerospace field.

Yvonne was born in Germany to an American soldier and a German mother. At the age of ten, she moved to Puerto Rico with her father, where she lived until moving to St. Louis, Missouri to start her job at Boeing.

When Yvonne first arrived in Puerto Rico, she only spoke German. However, she quickly learned Spanish and English and excelled in school. Yvonne now has two sons, and her oldest son is studying finance at The University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus.
