Sherita T. Ceasar is a highly accomplished telecoms executive who has launched digital products and platforms that helped transform the communications industry.
She achieved numerous career awards, such as the 2001 Technologist of the Year award and induction into the Women in Technology International Hall of Fame.
Sherita holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in mechanical engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago.
She commenced her career at Northrop Grumman and then worked at Motorola where she led paging operations.
Sherita directed manufacturing operations of 2000 employees for a $1 billion paging business of alphanumeric and numeric paging products shipping to North and South America, Japan, and Puerto Rico operations.
In a similar role with Scientific Atlanta, Sherita served as the vice president and general manager for broadband services, responsible for over $75 million in annual sales.
She led over 275 employees in technical support operations, business development, sales and marketing, broadband consultative services, and the training organization of Scientific Atlanta Institute of SciCare as the vice president of quality.
As the general manager of the Georgia branch of Charter Communications, Sherita was responsible for over $255 million in revenue for the state of Georgia.
She led over 500 employees in sales and marketing, technical operations, customer care, field operations, financial management, human resources, and government relations teams in residential and commercial businesses.
In 2007, Sherita joined Comcast as the vice president of product engineering, cross-platform, and engineering services.
In 2011, she became the vice president of national video deployment engineering, leading the development of services such as the X1 remote and cloud DVR and building the infrastructure of the cloud.
As senior vice president of national video deployment engineering, Sherita transformed regional video deployment activities into a critical element of Comcast's video platform.
As the senior vice president of technology environments and strategy in Comcast Cable's Access Network and Technical Operations organization, Sherita was responsible for designing, building, and supporting Comcast's engineering laboratory operations.
Additionally, she was responsible for strategic planning for technical facilities that supported technology and product roadmaps for over 1600 hubs across Comcast.
