Stress, disconnection, and fragmented wellness solutions are taking a toll on families. Despite the extensive offerings in the $6 trillion wellness industry, families report feeling increasingly overwhelmed.
The U.S. Surgeon General has even issued an advisory on the mental health of parents, emphasizing the urgent need to address the pressures families are facing and likening the impact of parental stress to a public health crisis.
Building on a century of trusted innovation at Panasonic Group, Panasonic Well, an incubator within the organization, unveiled its vision for the first wellness ecosystem for modern families at CES 2025.
CEO Yoky Matsuoka took the stage to introduce the next step in supporting families with their wellness journey.
As an extension of the existing Panasonic Well portfolio, Matsuoka announced Umi, a digital wellness platform and coach.
In addition, a global partnership with Anthropic, a leading AI research company focused on developing safe and ethical AI systems, will embed responsible artificial intelligence across Panasonic Group's consumer solutions.
"When we say families, we mean all the people we cherish and connect with closely—whether it's our nuclear families, neighborhood families, or anything in between," said Yoky Matsuoka. "The challenge to make room for wellness in daily life is particularly tough for those raising families and caring for aging or sick loved ones; wellness often ends up at the bottom of the list. At Panasonic Well, we leverage AI, immersive research, years of experience with real families, and partnerships with leading wellness brands and trusted institutions to create the solutions families need and want. Families worldwide are facing unique challenges, and we are here to support them on their wellness journeys."
