The NIH Office of Research is hosting the webinar in collaboration with the Uniformed Services University Military Women's Health Research Program.
The series highlights research focused on the health of military women, with this particular session concentrating on issues of violence against women and related trauma.
Speakers for the webinar include epidemiologists Cynthia Leard-Mann and Isabel Jacobson, as well as Laramie Duncan, Ph.D.
Dr. Duncan is an assistant professor at Stanford University, Ms. Leard-Mann and Ms. Jacobson are both senior epidemiologists with the Naval Health Research Center at San Diego, and Leidos, Inc
In addition, the Military Women’s Health Research Program Symposium, which was presented at the Association of Military Surgeons of the United States (AMSUS) 2025 Annual Meeting, is now available on-demand through April 2026.
Key topics include trauma recovery, reproductive care, pain management through an equity lens, women’s health policy, and research collaboration.
