A record 32 Booz Allen women were honored as Technology All-Stars and Rising Stars at the 2016 Women of Color in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) Conference Technology Recognition Luncheon.
Booz Allen has participated in the awards for more than a decade and 2016's winners joined an impressive alumni group of 187 award winners.
The group of scientists, technologists, engineers, and mathematicians were recognized for bringing a mix of consulting and advanced technology expertise to some of the most challenging problems.
“It was an honor to be with these smart, talented women as they were recognized for their achievements in STEM. They represent the best of Booz Allen Hamilton," said Booz Allen senior vice president Nicole Funk.
Ms. Funk and Fred Blackburn, also a senior vice president at Booz Allen, represented the firm as partner sponsors of the lunch.
“Booz Allen leadership is proud of our colleagues who have been recognized as leaders in their field, and who work every day to provide innovative solutions to our clients. These women make me proud to be part of Booz Allen Hamilton," Blackburn said
The Technology Recognition Luncheon is an annual event at the Women of Color STEM Conference to recognize the significant accomplishments of minority women in the digital world and to attract talent in professional and technical positions.
