April 19-25, 2020 is Medical Laboratory Professionals Week. And this is your chance to nominate an outstanding woman in the profession for a Women of Color STEM Award to help increase public understanding of and appreciation for clinical laboratory personnel.
According to the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Laboratory Professionals Week originated in 1975 as National Medical Laboratory Week under the auspices of the American Society for Medical Technology, now called the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science (ASCLS). In subsequent years, other organizations have served as cosponsors and campaign supporters.
The Women of Color (WOC) STEM Conference is focused on the development of women in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) careers and ensures that the superior achievements and importance of these outstanding women are highly visible to all conference participants.
