On August 1st, Nneka Rimmer joined McCormick's executive leadership team as President of the Global Flavors and Extracts business.
In this role, she is responsible for leading efforts to accelerate growth in flavors, extracts, reaction flavor materials, and fragrances sold to flavor solutions customers or used internally.
Most recently, she served as senior vice president, Business Transformation. Since 2015, she has held roles of increasing responsibility within the Fortune 1000 company, including senior vice president for strategy and global enablement and SVP, corporate strategy and development.
She is a member of McCormick’s Management Committee and the Global Flavor Solutions Council. McCormick has approximately 11,700 employees.
BizWomen reported that Rimmer is also executive sponsor of McCormick's Black employee advisory group, which was created recently to find ways to support Black employees.
Rimmer told BizWomen that she wants to ensure fewer Blacks are the first at something. To do this, she said that she will seek diverse candidate pools when hiring and will mentor Black leaders in and outside of McCormick.
Rimmer is a member of the Executive Leadership Council, a nonprofit that promotes the development of Black executives.
Prior to joining McCormick, she was a partner and managing director with Boston Consulting Group. She holds a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Stanford University, an M.B.A. from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, and a Juris Doctor from Northwestern University School of Law.
