The Women of Color STEM Awards Conference took place on October 12th and 14th. It included the Technology Recognition Event on Thursday, the Leaders and Legends Recognition Event, and the Women of Color Awards Ceremony on Saturday.

Actalent, like many of the nominating employers, still feels inspired by the passion and energy of the Women of Color STEM Conference.

Darci Snedaker, a program manager at Actalent, wrote a recap about the Women of Color STEM Conference.

Darci had the honor of nominating two award winners for their contributions to Actalent.

Megan Wonnell, PMP, was a part of Darci's team for more than five years.

Megan made tremendous contributions and performed every role on the team, including leadership, in that time, which is unprecedented.

She learned four highly complex functions in four years. Megan was promoted to manager on another team within the organization in July.

Hannah King, on the other hand, led the way in "how to work remotely" with her previous company.

When the pandemic hit, Hannah trailblazed that topic to help her team function.

She started as a project manager on Actalent's team and quickly impressed everyone. Her work performance became a point of positive feedback from a client, engineering colleagues, and her peers, and she was promoted to supervisor in May.
