Career Communications Group President Jean Hamilton recently shared a significant milestone with city, state, and corporate leaders at a community event.
The Greater Baltimore Committee's 50th Annual Mayor's Business Recognition Awards, organized in partnership with the Baltimore Development Corporation and the Mayor's Office, is approaching.
This event will honor 16 businesses and organizations dedicated to enhancing the civic life of Baltimore.
Career Communications Group is proud to be recognized by the GBC, Baltimore Development Corporation, and the Mayor's Office during these prestigious awards.
In a new format introduced last year, the event highlights contributions across five key areas: Economic Opportunity, Ambassador for the Baltimore Region, Local Investment, Supporting Safe and Vibrant Communities, and Community Redevelopment.
CCG has ranked among the top three in the Local Investment category.
Mayor Brandon Scott will present the awards at the ceremony on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, alongside representatives from the Baltimore Development Corporation and the Greater Baltimore Committee.
“This honor reflects our unwavering dedication to creating opportunities and fostering positive transformations within the Baltimore region,” said Ms. Hamilton. “Our initiatives in supporting STEM education, enhancing digital equity, and driving workforce development align closely with Baltimore's mission to uplift its communities. We feel privileged to be recognized alongside such remarkable companies and organizations.”
Ms. Hamilton will attend the ceremony with a guest to accept the award on behalf of Career Communications Group. Other award winners include Creative Alliance, The Creativity Center, and Novel MicroDevices Inc.
Based in Baltimore, Maryland, CCG is committed to advocating for diversity in STEM through conferences, publications, and engaging digital platforms that showcase the contributions of underrepresented communities in science and technology.
“This is a great honor for our community, which has been part of Baltimore for 40 years,” said Tyrone Taborn, founding CEO of Career Communications Group. “This recognition comes at a pivotal time as we have brought the Black Engineer of the Year Conference back to Baltimore and launched the STEM City Baltimore AI Metaverse training center within the Thurgood Marshall Amenity Center. Together, these initiatives emphasize our commitment to empowering Baltimore's youth and advancing diversity in STEM right here in our city.”
Exciting initiatives like STEM City USA and the Black Engineer of the Year Conference exemplify CCG's dedication to advancing STEM education, workforce development, and digital equity in Baltimore and beyond.
