In 2023, J.P. Morgan announced the appointment of Alicia Boler Davis as a Director who will serve on their Principal Standing Committees Risk Committee.
Davis is a well-known figure in the tech and healthcare industries, having held several leadership positions at Amazon.com, Inc. before joining Alto Pharmacy as CEO.
In her 25-year career at General Motors (GM), she rose from an intern to executive vice president of global manufacturing, labor relations, and sustainability.
Davis began her career as a manufacturing engineer and eventually became a plant manager, the first Black woman to be appointed to a GM vehicle manufacturing plant position.
Later, she led Connected Customer Activities, including infotainment and personal mobility initiatives.
Davis has received several accolades, including the 2014 Technologist of the Year award at the Women of Color STEM Conference, Black Engineer of the Year at the 2018 BEYA STEM Conference, and being listed as one of the "Most Powerful" by Business Insider. She was also honored as one of Fortune's "Most Powerful Women" in 2020 and 2021.
Born and raised in Detroit, Boler Davis holds a degree in chemical engineering from Northwestern University, a master's in engineering science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and an MBA from Indiana University.
She is also recognized for volunteering as a member of The Links Inc. and the Care House of Oakland County board member. From 2016 to 2019, Davis served as a director of General Mills, Inc.
