Career Communications Group (CCG) has announced that Boston Scientific Corporation will be hosting their "Healthy Doses" seminars on the STEM City USA platform starting on Oct. 1.
Monthly seminars will include topics around the lack of diversity in clinical trials, obesity and its impact in the Black community, as well as other health issues including mental health and physical fitness.
The first of the monthly series of seminars will be held at the La Familia Wellness Center of the Boston Scientific Auditorium on Friday, Oct. 1, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM Eastern Standard Time.
Deepa D., a global supply chain director who leads demand planning for the pain management business at Boston Scientific, will be moderating the event. The expert panel includes:
Dr. Nilesh Patel, chief medical officer for neuromodulation and vice president for medical affairs
Dr. Kapil Gupta, senior medical director of medical affairs for Boston Scientific Endoscopy
Dr. Michael Jaff, vice present for clinical affairs and peripheral intervention
Camille Chang Gilmore, vice president of human resources (HR) and global chief diversity, equity, and inclusion officer
Dr. Patel will speak on pain and the lack of diversity in clinical trials, Dr. Gupta will focus on obesity and its impact on the Black community, Dr. Jaff will discuss blocked arteries, and Gilmore will talk about COVID-19 and the Black experience.
