Rahel R. Rudd is supervisory branch chief engineer for the Aircrew Performance and Combat Ready Airman branches, the Human Systems Division, Agile Combat Support Directorate, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, and Air Force Material Command at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio.
Rahel also oversees technical projects in the Airmen Accommodation Laboratory, which evaluates the accommodation of Air Force personnel within their operating environments, and a lab that tests and qualifies aircraft oxygen systems.
Rahel assumed the role in June of 2020 and capably engaged with the team virtually, overcoming an incredibly challenging season that resulted from the COVID pandemic.
She supervises a diverse team of engineers, scientists, and programs that provide Air Force personnel with protective equipment such as headgear, helmets, hearing protection, body gear, body armor, harnesses, physiologic monitoring devices, uniforms, and flight suits.
