First Lieutenant AaSHAE Eberle is an acquisitions officer in the United States Air Force. She enlisted as a dental assistant in 2003 to serve while earning valuable training and educational benefits.
After ten years in the medical field, she became a contracting craftsman and earned her appointment as a Warranted Contracting Officer. In this role, she managed a contract portfolio of construction and commodity contracts valued at $35M.
Her admission to Officer Training School ultimately allowed her to work for the Air Force Research Laboratory to support human-machine teaming and artificial intelligence (AI) research.
As a program manager and research associate, she has aided the collection of military helicopter pilot data and interviewed Air Force medical personnel to study trust in Air Force surgical robots during various surgical procedures.
Lieutenant Eberle currently serves as a contracting officer representative for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency.
She has managed an acquisition portfolio for the Autonomy Capabilities Team 3 (ACT3), where manual-intensive tasks are solved with AI.
During her career, she has also deployed to Iraq and Qatar and volunteered to support dental care in Georgetown, Guyana, and C-130 pilot training in Elefsina, Greece.
Her community involvement includes Habitat for Humanity, Grace Under Fire, and Shoes for the Shoeless.
Additionally, she is a member of various organizations, including the Veteran of Foreign Wars, Air Force Sergeant's Association, and Black Girls Run.
Lieutenant Eberle holds a Master of Arts in Procurement and Acquisition Management from Webster University (2014) and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Texas A&M University-San Antonio (2011).
