Cross training, leadership development, and knowledge sharing helped Courtney Mixon gain new skills and achieve great things.
She is currently a senior director in supply chain. Early in her career, she joined a two-year program designed for high-potential employees.
After completing four-month rotational assignments to gain exposure to company functions, Courtney became a procurement agent and worked with suppliers to support F-15, F/A-18, and T-45 defense aircraft for the United States, Singapore, and Australia.
As a procurement agent, she ensured the availability of aircraft parts for Korean, Singaporean, Israeli, and U.S. Air Force and Navy customers.
While serving as an F-15 integrated procurement lead, she led teams supporting procurement for Saudi F-15, Singapore Performance-Based Logistics (PBL) Follow-On, and Korea PBL spare requirements, as well as F-15 Supply Chain Management Singapore PBL Follow-On Proposal Lead.
In 2013, Courtney was promoted manager of supplier management for the Unmanned Carrier-Launched Airborne Surveillance and Strike program in Phantom Works.
She then moved to Phantom Works Advanced Weapons, where she was responsible for overseeing six sub teams across projects geared toward the growth and development of commodities and service employees.
She briefly worked as a business analyst while completing her Master of Business Administration.
In 2017, Courtney was named senior manager and F/A-18 supply chain lead the following year.
In 2019, she was named director of commodities, systems, and supplier diversity, leading sourcing strategies and supply chain execution supporting Vertical Lift platforms and the Mesa Fabrication Center of Excellence.
In this position, she was able to influence the development of a more diverse talent pipeline.
