Jackie Wynn, a two-time award winner at the Women of Color STEM Conference, has started a new position as Vice President of Strategic Programs with General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT), in the Federal Health Sector, Veterans Affairs, and Military Health.
"As a two-time award winner of the Women of Color for Professional Achievement award, I hope to continue to bring the inspiration and vision into this role," Wynn wrote in an e-mail.
Previously, Wynn brought her experience in information technology, acquisition strategy, and global business development to MITRE Corporation’s Center for Connected Government, leading the Department of Veterans Affairs portfolio in the Center for Enterprise Modernization.
Before joining MITRE, Wynn was vice president for strategy and market development leading the public sector team at RSA, the security division of Dell Technologies. There, she developed cyber strategies through the implementation of strategic projects and partnerships. She also held leadership positions at EMC, as vice president of global residency practice, and Hewlett-Packard, where she was vice president for global business operations and support services.
Wynn has served on the Executive Board for the National Center for Children and Families (NCCF), which works to advance the policy, education, and development of children and their families through community support, education and training, volunteerism, and social advocacy.
In addition, she has served on the Howard University Industrial Advisory Board, as well as the boards of the Association for Minorities in Engineering and the Black Data Processors Association, which awarded her the 2006 Epsilon Award for Career Achievement. She was a founding member of Hewlett Packard’s African American Executive Leadership Forum.
She earned bachelor’s degrees in economics and math from the University of Denver and an MBA in finance and accounting from the Simon Graduate School of Business at The University of Rochester. She also participated in executive leadership programs at Babson College, the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, and the Anderson School of Business at the University of California Los Angeles.
