High-Tech Sunday Podcast, ep. 40: WOC Community Service Award Winner on the Art of Giving Back

Join us on August 15 as we sit down with Dani Chambers for a conversation on "The Art of Giving Back" for the 40th episode of High-Tech Sunday. Dani holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in industrial technology from Iowa State University.
Dani has 15 years of service with Lockheed Martin Corporation, including her current job where she manages a Vehicle Engineering Team consisting of team leaders, chief engineers, and technical advisors for the Missions Solutions Program.
She began her career as a safety engineer and industrial hygienist in 2005, responsible for managing OSHA safety compliance on Lockheed Martin's Technical Operations program in Aurora, Colorado. In 2007, Dani transitioned to a role as a systems engineer in the Information Systems and Global Solutions unit, working on critical systems supporting the United States and its allies. In 2009, she was selected as a technical operation expert. She was responsible for leading multiple teams in anomaly response, recovery procedures, and the application of new and enhanced software on various systems. In 2015 she became a systems engineer associate manager on special programs, managing and leading a team of top engineers responsible for 50+ critical hardware assets.
Dani shares her employer's vision for fostering a culture where diverse talents and perspectives drive innovation, professional development, and business success. She is involved with the Black Excellence Council and the Business Resource Group at Lockheed Martin to connect, develop and engage Black employees to promote personal progress that will advance community and corporation.
In 2018, Dani joined the leadership board for the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) -Lockheed Martin Enterprise Chapter Region VI. She has also been involved in getting students—kindergarten through college—excited about science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). She has gone into classrooms for mock interviews with students to prepare them for the challenges of the corporate workforce.
In 2018, Dani joined the LM Space Inclusion Council, representing special programs. She facilitated discussions on diversity and inclusion topics for leadership and peers across the program. Dani was recognized for her contributions in 2018 and received the First Quarter Special Programs Diversity and Inclusion Award. Dani recently transitioned to the Aurora Site Lead position on the LM Space Inclusion Council. In addition to Dani being involved with NSBE, the Black Excellence Council, she also mentors college students, Lockheed Martin job applicants new employees, and volunteers at the VA Hospital. Dani interacts and serves refreshments (coffee and snacks) to veterans.
Dani is a regular faith-based speaker at"Women Witnessing the Word of Wisdom" conferences.
High-Tech Sunday's weekly program is produced by and for CCG's community of alumni and professionals in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields, thought leaders, and aspiring students, to bring a robust discussion around technological advancements and achievements based on universal moral principles. The one-hour podcasts are streamed every Sunday.
Career Communications Group (CCG) is celebrating the first anniversary of their podcast, "High-Tech Sunday." The podcast features 40 episodes with topics such as choosing a career in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields, inspiration, mentoring professional and personal development, and more. In its inaugural year, "High-Tech Sunday" attracted hundreds of CCG alumni, BEYA winners, and WOC STEM Award winners and continues to expand its reach.
