The conference highlights for Thursday were CMO Insights: AI and Digital Inclusion; Rising to the Sustainability Challenge: Innovation & Opportunity; Blockchain Goes Mainstream; and Navigating the Data Revolution in Health Care.
Experts discussed how AI can be used as a tool to enhance inclusion, and took a deep dive into climate change, how brands are using blockchain and NFTs to strengthen their customer relationships and enhance customer loyalty, and how the data revolution is changing care and the challenges that lay ahead.
In the welcome message penned by Gary Shapiro, president and CEO, Kinsey Fabrizio, senior vice president of CES and Membership, and John Kelley, vice president of CES and acting show director of Consumer Technology Association (CTA), the op-ed focused on the impact of the United Nations adding "access to technology" as a new eighth pillar of its Human Security framework.
That momentum carried at CES 2024 with technologies like the Khanfilter's pollution and carbon-emission-reducing industrial air filter, Sheco's water clean-up drone, and a range of wearable health tech products to make health monitoring and treatment more accessible.
They also highlighted innovations in electrification, alternative energy, battery storage, and breakthrough power sources like green hydrogen from industry leaders such as 3M, Hisense, KOHLER, Flic, Jackery, and Nami.
Accessibility is a big theme for CES, and in the health space, there are over-the-counter hearing aids from Bosch and Nubeara, mobility assists from Dignity Lifts and AI Guided, and technology from Whispp that can assist with speech in real-time.
Other accessibility techs include products like Kangsters' wheelchair treadmill and Gamin's latest fitness watch equipped with features for wheelchair users.
The AgeTech Collaborative from AARP was trending on X, formerly Twitter. The Age Tech Collab is focused on working with the gaming community to design games that keep the brain active and engaged, particularly those around brain health. Jo Ann Jenkins talked about it at the Age Tech Summit held at CES 2024.
Volkswagen is shifting to an electric future and has introduced several new models to its lineup, including the Golf GTI which was shown off in disguise at CES.
