Paola Romero Campo is now a senior business lead at The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. More than a decade ago, she joined Goodyear Colombia as a summer intern. Upon receiving a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, she accepted a full-time position as a buyer at the company.
While she gained experience in contract negotiation and managing spending, her focus on process improvement led her to represent the procurement workstream in the SAP implementation projects for the Latin America region.
Through her outstanding performance, she got promoted to a regional role in Brazil, where she gained exposure and continued to improve procurement systems and processes.
In 2016, she moved to Akron, Ohio, to join the global procurement organization set up to modernize Latin American Procurement systems by implementing SAP Supplier Relationship Management (SRM).
Romero Campo has played an instrumental role in the modernization of Goodyear’s procurement systems and processes as she leads various projects. Her manager relies on her knowledge and leadership to deliver large-scale global projects.
