Valarie Mackey won a 2016 Women of Color Special Recognition Award. She was honored for her efforts in leading change for the next generation by carrying a STEM message to young girls on behalf of Coca-Cola.
Mackey leverages her leadership position within Coca-Cola and on boards such as the Georgia Technology Affinity Group to be a change agent.
As a result, she’s minimizing the divide that exists for the under-served and/or young women and ensuring that they have greater access to technology and opportunities.
In addition to optimizing Coca Cola’s presence and driving corporate responsibility, she provides foresight and leadership to organizations like Year Up, Chris’Kids and Women in Technology (WiT) to make a “dent in the universe” by impacting students in her community.
Her efforts are creating a model for others to follow and she’s asked on regular basis to speak at events and on radio programs.
Valarie has an industrial engineering degree from North Carolina A&T State University. Now a professional with 15+ years experience focused on strategic planning and execution, she leads and manages global team members and is committed to ensuring employees are well-rounded professionals and enjoy their career growth.
