Alaina Farooq is a contracting officer's representative at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division, one of several centers in the U.S. Navy's Naval Sea Systems Command. In this role, Alaina monitors technical performance.
According to the Federal Acquisition Institute website, the Federal Acquisition Certification for Contracting Officer’s Representatives (FAC-COR) program is a must for acquisition professionals performing contract management activities and functions.
After earning a bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary science from Purdue University in 2005, Alaina went on to do an M.B.A. at the Indiana Wesleyan University School of Business.
Currently, she is a member of the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Inclusion and Engagement Council, the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division, African American Employee Resource Group; the Women's Employee Resource Group, and the New Hire Employee Resource Group.
