Career Communications Group, Inc. (CCG) has announced that Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. has signed on as a sponsor of the digital twin experience (DTX) of the 26th annual Women of Color (WOC) Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) Conference.
WOC DTX 2021 will be held October 7-10.
Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. provides technical, professional, and construction services and scientific and consulting for a broad range of clients, including government agencies.
Top employers in the engineering and construction industry will play a significant role in delivering on President Joe Biden's plan to rebuild roads, bridges, water supply mechanisms, transportation networks and improve access to high-speed broadband and clean energy projects.
Each year the industries most likely to employ women of color take part in WOC STEM job fairs.
Based on CCG surveys, these companies include computer and electronic product manufacturing, transportation, architectural, engineering, and related professional services. Many of them are looking to secure U.S. supply chains while investing in R&D and training workers to build and make things in every part of America.
"These companies will need to hire many people, and they will use WOC as a source to complete that goal," said Tyrone Taborn, chairman of Career Communications Group, Inc., the Women of Color magazine publisher and producer of WOC DTX. "The conference career fair provides an opportunity for students to meet with employers like Jacobs trying to fill STEM jobs. That is why they will be at WOC DTX in October 2021 and again at the BEYA STEM Conference, scheduled for February 17-19, 2022."
Thousands of students and professionals are expected to participate in WOC DTX when the three-day event kicks off on October 7. Click here to learn more.
