BEYA’s Leading Voices on the STEM City platform will provide a place to highlight the BEYA (Black Engineer of the Year Award) experience as well as advances in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). This event will give a platform to minority communities to discuss the importance of representation in STEM and the role they play in today’s technology.
There will be four sessions available to attendees throughout the day. They will feature transformational technical expositions from exceptional innovators in various technical fields, such as medical, bioengineering, government, technology, and research.
The summit will include the unveiling of the Top Supporters of HBCU’s and three seminars that will allow the audience to interact with speakers as well as other audience members.
The first session is called Technology Commercialization & Economic Development: Taking HBCU/MSI Research to the Marketplace. Participants will have a greater awareness and understanding of technology commercialization and the opportunities that await their institutions.
Session two is named Artificial Intelligence & HBCUs: Taking AI from the Lab to the World. This session will discuss the role artificial intelligence plays in today’s society. The audience will explore how AI is being integrated into everyday life.
Lastly, the final session is called The Transformative Power of 5G. This session will allow the audience to explore and propose strategies that would support HBCUs as 5G Testbeds and Partners in deployment of 5G nationwide.
