Dakeesha Wright currently serves as a site leader and operations head at Collins Aerospace, a Raytheon Technologies company. She has led various Quality departments, including establishing a Quality department and hiring 12 Quality professionals.

She also served as a rocket engine test engineer and NASA Space suit contract manager, where she established an electronic proposal dashboard that resulted in 100% on-time delivery and developed the Women Empowered for Success (WES) employee resource group.

Her community involvement has earned her accolades, including being recognized as a top leader under 40, featured in South Florida SUCCESS magazine, and invited to join the Executive Women of the Palm Beaches.

Dakeesha's career began during her high school days when she was a part of a Science, Engineering, Communications, Mathematics, and Enrichment (SECME) club, which won several local engineering competitions. This granted her a scholarship to college, paid for by Pratt & Whitney, and secured internships with the company.

Dakeesha graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, becoming the second African American woman to do so. Her expertise in rocket engines earned her a spot in the UTA magazine.

This was the beginning of Dakeesha's successful career spanning over 25 years with Raytheon Technologies, during which she transitioned to six different sites, problem-solved, and started or revived several ERGs.

Dakeesha's leadership skills have extended beyond her workplace into the community, where she coaches and mentors students in a Lego Robotics League, leading to wins in local, state, and national competitions.
