During her time at InnovAge, she expanded inclusive care for the elderly. She also led care management and value-based care initiatives at United Healthcare, Aetna, and Blue Shield of California.
She is an alumna of Harvard Medical School and champions women's heart disease awareness and first-generation immigrant education.
Dr. Welch was recognized as one of the "Top 25 Leaders in Diversity" in 2021, and received a career achievement award at the 2023 Women of Color STEM Conference.
