In celebration of National Mentoring Month, the White House issued a proclamation to recognize mentors who volunteer their time and effort to ensure that every young person has opportunities to achieve their dreams.
Hoa Pham has been a strong advocate for employee development and mentoring programs at the Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division throughout her career.
Pham started her career as a co-op student from the University of Central Florida (UCF) and joined the Training Systems Division as a full-time engineer after graduating from UCF in 1990.
As a supervisory engineer in the division, she leads a team of 22 civilian employees and has helped develop exceptional systems engineers who have gone on to support high-visibility programs and build successful careers.
Pham is also actively involved in recruiting, hiring, and developing entry-level to senior-level systems engineers.
In the past two years, Pham has played a key role in enhancing the systems engineering training program at the Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division.
She has successfully delivered the program within one year and refined the courseware based on feedback from the initial courses.
Pham's contributions have greatly supported the Training Systems Division's vision of "Accelerating Warfighter Readiness through Training Solutions."
Her outstanding leadership and exemplary performance reflect great credit upon herself, NAWCTSD, and the Department of the Navy.
