Anissa Mack is a quality engineer on the F-35 supplier quality management team at Lockheed Martin.
She is responsible for supporting the delivery of more than 100 aircraft a year and driving activities to reduce defects. She has made invaluable contributions to vendor repair and/or disposition in production.
Throughout her 17-year career, she has been recognized with Spot awards for special contributions to projects and a Diversity and Inclusion Award.
Growing up, Anissa was always curious about how and why a local water treatment plant worked. She also admired her father, who retired as a senior electrical engineer at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control.
In 2002, Anissa graduated from the University of Central Florida with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering after completing two internships with Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems.
Early in her career, Anissa was mentored by men. As a woman in technology, she yearned for guidance from a woman in the field, so she sought out a female mentor. Due to the positive impact of this experience, Anissa is passionate about mentoring young women.
She actively makes herself available to answer hard questions, offer guidance, and help to cultivate positive skills she sees in her mentees. She recognizes her mentorships as mutually beneficial and finds joy in learning from her mentees.
Outside of work, Anissa hosts Bible studies and has facilitated workshops for women. She and her husband now serve as coaches for small groups in her church. Anissa is also pursuing a master's degree in Christian education.
