Andrea Collier has been an employee of Huntington Ingalls Industries since May of 2019.
Since she joined the largest military shipbuilding company in the United States, Andrea has worked on a variety of projects, including performance on the external hydraulic power plant for the Columbia-class submarine.
The new nuclear missile submarines are designed to replace older submarines in the United States Navy by 2031.
Prior to joining Huntington Ingalls Industries, Andrea spent four years in the automotive industry.
She holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and a master's degree in engineering, majoring in robotics and autonomous vehicles. Andrea has also earned a Six Sigma Green Belt.
As a mechanical engineer with experience as a product engineer in manufacturing, development, testing, and validation, Andrea has received recognition as a top performer within Huntington Ingalls.
