Automotive News recently honored 100 women for their excellence in various categories, including WOC STEM Conference awardees such as Aruna Anand, president and CEO of Continental North America, and Olabisi Boyle, senior vice president for product planning and mobility strategy at Hyundai Motor North America.
Automotive News recognized Anand in the engineering category, while Boyle was honored in the new mobility group.
The list includes technology, design, distribution, purchasing, sales, manufacturing, government policy, marketing, finance, retail, management, information technology, remarketing, and resales.
Last week, Boyle congratulated all the women recognized in the 2025 Automotive News "100 Leading Women in the North American Auto Industry" list.
In a LinkedIn post, she described the list as representing a community of women who deliver results, change outcomes, shift culture, and open doors.
While acknowledging that there is still much work to be done, Boyle praised these leaders for their role in shaping the future and incorporating motion, meaning, and a sense of belonging into how people move.
She thanked Automotive News for spotlighting the leadership, technical excellence, and empathy of the transformational women redefining what is possible in the industry.
According to Boyle, the automotive world is rapidly evolving due to advancements in electrification and software scaling; however, she believes the new frontier still relies on timeless qualities such as trust, empathy, and relevance.
In an era where vehicles can drive themselves, Boyle emphasized the need to understand human beings.
For her, this means creating not just smart cars but wise ones, focusing on intentionality rather than mere automation, and designing features and experiences that restore confidence and expand access.
She stressed that artificial intelligence (AI) should serve to uplift humanity rather than replace it.
Moreover, she insisted that design must adapt to real-life situations rather than ideal use cases and that mobility ecosystems should prioritize human needs over efficiency.
Boyle views these advancements as indicative of next-generation leadership rooted in empathy, driven by diversity, and guided by vision.
She noted that excellence becomes more widespread as more diverse perspectives take the lead.
Last month, Aruna Anand announced a new name for Continental Automotive North America.

Anand expressed excitement about Continental Automotive's pivotal year ahead in 2025.
