To mark its 11th Annual Women in Business Week, The PNC Financial Services Group has announced complimentary webcasts to inspire renewed passion and ideas.
The scheduled events include Women in Tech, a discussion about why the world needs more women in technology, and how PNC is addressing the gap. Financial Wellness will feature a diverse panel of women sharing how the pandemic has reshaped their financial priorities and outlook.
Executives from KDM Engineering and other Chicago businesses will share their personal, professional, and entrepreneurial journeys inside industries with minimal female representation. There will also be PNC-sponsored business owner financial workshops with The Acceleration Project.
Thursday's keynote speaker is Jessica O. Mathews, founder and CEO of Uncharted Power and inventor of the SOCCKET, an energy-generating soccer ball. In the interview, Jessica will discuss how Uncharted Power is disrupting power-generation and infrastructure businesses with sustainable solutions.
Jessica's success in entrepreneurship led to a White House invitation to represent small companies for the signing of the America Invents Act in 2012. In 2016, she raised what was at the time the largest Series A round ever raised by a Black female founder in history and was selected to ring the NASDAQ opening ceremony bell, representing all Forbes 30 Under 30 alumni.
