The 29th Annual Women of Color in STEM Conference will be held in Detroit from October 3-5.
As in previous years, the conference will be available both in person and online as the digital twin experience (DTX).
Whether attending in person or online, attendees will share the same experience.
Career Communications Group's Women of Color magazine is hosting the event to celebrate innovators in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
The event will feature tech talks, networking, and recognition events such as the Technology Luncheon, which celebrates rising tech stars and tech all-stars.
The Women of Color STEM Awards Gala is where the Technologist of the Year and other category award winners will be celebrated.
The schedule is subject to change, but Thursday's seminars include "Addressing Financial Inequality, and" "Exploring Gender Disparity in Finance." The WOC Welcome Reception will conclude the evening.
Friday's seminars include "Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workforce," "Driving Success in the Corporate World," "Bridging the Generational Tech Gap," "Nurturing Holistic Leadership Identities," "Achieving Work-Life Harmony in the Remote Work Era," "Mastering the Art of Coaching and Team Building," and "Synergy Unleashed: Human-Empowered A.I.s in Innovation and Ethics."
The A.I.s in Innovation and Ethics seminar will explore how human qualities such as empathy, ethics, and nuanced decision-making can enhance and complement artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. The seminar will discuss the symbiotic relationship between human capacities and AI technologies and how integrating human insights and values into AI systems can lead to more responsible and socially aware technologies.
The "Woman to Woman: Up Close and Personal" round-table session will provide a safe space for women to discuss the challenges they face in the workplace, share practical tips, and celebrate career success.
