Career Communications Group has announced that the A.I. Empowerment Summit will take place on May 8-9, 2025, in partnership with Morgan State University’s School of Engineering.
This event will explore the future of artificial intelligence (AI) and the intersection of AI and diversity, ensuring that everyone has a voice in shaping that future.
“The future of A.I. cannot be left to a select few,” said Tyrone Taborn, CEO of Career Communications Group. “We are focused on creating pathways into the workforce for everyone, regardless of their background, and fostering an ecosystem where diversity in development is the norm.”
The A.I. Empowerment Summit aims to provide an inclusive platform for individuals from historically marginalized communities to access education, training, and networking opportunities, empowering them to influence the future of this technology.
By offering these resources, the summit intends to ensure that technological development is innovative, equitable, and inclusive.
The summit will bring together leading professionals, educators, policymakers, and advocates to discuss the transformative potential of AI.
“A.I. has the potential to change everything,” said Oscar Barton, Dean of the School of Engineering at Morgan State University. “But we can only truly harness its power for good if we ensure that all voices are included in the conversation.”
A.I. Empowerment Summit events will also be held at the STEM City Baltimore Innovation Center, a forward-thinking initiative dedicated to making Baltimore a hub for workforce development.
Located at the Thurgood Marshall Amenity Center, this venue symbolizes the city’s commitment to ensuring that technologies benefit all communities.
“STEM City Baltimore is not just a physical space; it’s a movement,” said Dr. David Wilson, president of Morgan State University. “By bringing together technology leaders, we are providing the next generation of innovators with the tools to succeed and ensuring that the benefits of A.I. reach everyone.”
The summit will feature a rich lineup of keynote addresses, panel discussions, and hands-on workshops covering various topics designed to shape the future.
Highlights will include a keynote address on the importance of inclusive practices for fostering innovation across industries and creating equitable solutions.
A conversation will explore how diversity in development can lead to better, more ethical systems.
Additional seminars will discuss how businesses can leverage A.I. to drive growth while adhering to ethical standards and how AI can enhance cybersecurity measures.
Discussions will also focus on preparing students for careers in A.I. and the significance of inclusive education practices.
Practical, hands-on sessions will be designed to equip participants with the skills necessary to build A.I. systems that are both innovative and inclusive.
Furthermore, the summit will offer a special certification in Prompt Engineering, a field expected to become critical to A.I. development in the coming years.
