These are tough times, but science is leading the way to rapid testing, safety and protection, treatments, and vaccines for the new strain of coronavirus (COVID-19).
As we march towards the other side of the pandemic, Women of Color Online will continue to bring you stories of hope. Meanwhile, take a moment to nominate an outstanding team member today.
One of the stories that went viral on social media this week is that of Minal Dakhave Bhosale. According to the "women crush Wednesday" (WCW) Instagram page, which posts stories about women that people admire, Minal provided India’s first coronavirus testing kit for evaluation the day before she gave birth to her baby girl.
As the Research and Development Chief of Mylab Discovery in Pune, Minal led her team to deliver this testing kit in a record time of six weeks rather than three to four months.
“It was an emergency, so I took this on as a challenge. I have to serve my nation," she said.
