Sandra McNeil, then a global manufacturing chief engineer at General Motors (GM), received the Managerial Leadership Award at the 2019 WOC STEM Conference.

McNeil implemented innovative approaches to improve problem-solving efficiency for programs across GM's various regions.

As GM's global manufacturing chief engineer, she was dedicated to ensuring that manufacturing remains a career choice for aspiring young professionals.

In her role, McNeil was responsible for installing manufacturing equipment at 10 facilities, which led to the integration of technology into manufacturing operations, including the all-new mid-engine Corvette.

Motor Trend, a leading American automobile magazine, named the mid-engine sports car the 2020 Car of the Year. GM highlighted McNeil's oversight in ensuring all project metrics, including financial goals, were met.

McNeil recently shared on LinkedIn that she is now the Director of Amazon Operations in Australia.

In the motivational post, she described her career journey as remarkable and is grateful to those who have mentored, sponsored, and supported her.

At one point, she helped her mother through stage 4 ocular melanoma, lost her dog weeks later to Cushing's disease, and faced her own temporary ocular health challenges. Throughout this time, she navigated the complexities of accessibility while forging her path.
