McDonald's USA announced recently that Tiffanie L. Boyd has joined the company as its new Senior Vice President & U.S. Chief People Officer. Tiffanie was vice president, Human Resources, General Mills North America Retail.
“McDonald’s has the ability to impact people, communities, and the economy in such a meaningful way," she said in a statement. "I’m also honored to join a strong team focused on elevating the people and culture agenda of an already great company. Oh, and I can’t get rid of the ‘ba da ba ba ba …I’m lovin’ it!’ refrain in my head, which confirms that McDonald’s is where I’m supposed to be!”
Tiffanie joined General Mills—known for brands like Cheerios, Betty Crocker, Pillsbury, Haagen-Dazs, Yoplait, and more—in 1997 as an intern and worked her way up within the multinational organization over 23 years.
She earned both her Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and her Masters of Business Administration in Organization Behavior from the University of Michigan Ross Business School in Ann Arbor. As an alum, she has led recruiting efforts at Michigan and served on the BBA Advisory Board.
She has always found ways to mentor, coach, and teach others. In recent years, she has spent time on boards and advisory teams focused on closing the achievement gap for kids of color. She is currently co-chairing the American Heart Association Go Red for Women movement.
