The spring edition celebrates 25 years of storytelling and strategies that have shaped the future of women in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) careers.
According to a data newsletter published by the Employment and Training Administration at the U.S. Department of Labor, as of the second quarter of 2024, Gen Z workers (ages 13-28) made up nearly a fifth (18%) of the labor force.
In contrast, Baby Boomers (ages 61-79) accounted for 15%.
Millennials (ages 29-44) represent the largest share of the labor force at 36%, while the Silent Generation (ages 80-103) is almost entirely retired (1%).
Gen X workers (ages 45-60) held the second-largest share at 31%, with their participation declining modestly at a rate similar to that of Millennials.
