Kangelon “Kay” Dexter is a global product marketing intelligence strategist for Sage. She is passionate about ensuring the customer’s voice is heard, particularly diverse voices.
p>Dexter champions diversity and inclusion as a co-leader for BUILD (Blacks United In Leadership & Development) at Sage, a network for colleagues across the globe and allies that support them. Dexter is Sage’s Global 2019 - 2020 Inspirational Woman of Year.
Growing up as an Air Force “brat” around the globe and adapting to new situations, Dexter learned to be a risk-taker and an advocate.
Her career focus has been on consumer buying behaviors, product marketing, market & competitive intelligence, campaign creation, and go-to-market strategy.
To date, she has managed strategic product launches and promotional marketing campaigns for high-profile brands, like NIKE, Chick-Fil-A, GAP Brands, Visa, MasterCard, and recently Microsoft Office 365.
One career highlight was the creation of the MasterCard "Stand Up 2 Cancer" donation card that allows a portion of each transaction to be donated to cancer research.
Dexter spends her free time giving back by mentoring middle school and young adults on professional development, personal branding & college prep. She is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, as well as NAACP, NCNW, and WIT.
